Voltage divider formula
Electrical
voltage is an energy which required moving a unit charge through an
element. Voltage calculation is in volts (v). Voltage resistor is
voltmeter, so it is voltage drop calculator. Electricity voltage is
known as electromotive force also, shortly emf. Italian physicist
Alessandro Antonio Volta invented voltaic battery. If we move a unit of
charge from a to b then it represents mathematically
Here w is energy in Joules (J) and q is charge which is in coulombs (C).
So, 1 volt = 1joul / coulomb
= 1 newton-meter/coulomb
So, 1 volt = 1joul / coulomb
= 1 newton-meter/coulomb
In
a circuit voltage makes circuit go. Measuring voltage in a circuit we
use two points in parallel. We measure the voltage drop calculation or
voltage difference between two points. Sometimes we get voltage
difference with respect to ground. Along any wire or good conductor
voltage is constant. Voltage drops occur when it is passed by any
components like resistor.
Consider
a single loop circuit has three resistors are in series. Since the same
current i flow in both of them. Applying Ohm’s law we get
V1 = iR1,
V2 = iR2,
V3 = iR3.
V2 = iR2,
V3 = iR3.
Now applying KVL to the loop with clockwise direction,
- v + v1 + v2 + v3 = 0
or v = v1 + v2 + v3
= iR1 + iR2 + iR3
= i (R1 + R2 + R3)
or v = v1 + v2 + v3
= iR1 + iR2 + iR3
= i (R1 + R2 + R3)
